In 1970, Terry Melcher pitched the idea of a solo album by Gram Parsons to Jerry Moss. Parsons recorded ten tracks for it. Due to Parsons' drug and alcohol abuse, A&M halted the project. Parsons signed out the master tapes from A&M in October 1970. The tapes have never been found.
