Gallagher & Lyle
A&M Records signed Gallagher and Lyle in 1973 and in 1974, Gallagher and Lyle signed a worldwide songwriting deal with Rondor Music. They were associated with several A&M artists and bands including Ronnie Lane, Elkie Brooks, Joan Armatrading, Sandy Denny, Fairport Convention and Jim Diamond.
The duo recorded six album for A&M in five years. Their last A&M album came in 1978.
In 1975 they toured as a supporting act for Supertramp. Also on the bill was Chris DeBurgh.
In 1976 Mike Ledgerwoos, A&M Records, Ltd. publicity, brought Gallagher and Lyle to Canada to promote their album Breakaway. Here they are seen with A&M Canada staff.

A&M Records, Ltd. Managing Director Derek Green: "We went through three albums together and on to Breakaway,--a record born out of pure anger between us, because they thought they were going nowhere.
