Captain Sensible

Concert promoter Andrew Miller took a tape by Captain Sensible to A&M Records, Ltd. A&R director Mike Noble who immediately signed the Captain. Six weeks later "Happy Talk" was a hit in England. "Happy Talk" was one of the best-selling singles of the year and a Guinness Book Of Records holder as one of the fastest rising records in the UK because it reached #2 in its first two weeks of release.

"Wot" was #1 in France and Germany achieving sales of 1.5 million copies worldwide.

The "Glad It's All Over" single was supported by a video and 5,000 posters in the UK. It peaked at #6 on the British charts.
