This Omen Records single features Randy Curtis playing the trumpet solo. Randy is Randy Alpert who would later co-write the hit song "Rise." "Little Blue River" and "The Pupil" were recorded at United Recorders on March 23, 1964 with musicians:

The single got some air play in Chicago, IL in June 1964 and peaked at #33 on radio station WLS.
