Abaco Dream
Signed with A&M Records in June 1969. In August 1969, their single "Life & Death in G & A" was among the Hot 100 singles in Wilmington, Delaware.A tour of college campuses was announced in late September 1969. In October "Life & Death in G & A" peaked at #25 on Billboard's Best Selling Soul Singles Chart.
By November, the band worked on recording an album that was never released. Also in November "Cat Woman" was a hit in Ottawa, Canada but was being turned down by other radio stations because the song used electronic music.
Sly Stone was voted 78 on Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Singers of All Time.
