Marvin Hamlisch

Signed with A&M Records in early 1976 and at the same time with Quincy Jones Productions. Hamlish released one single for the label although Jones and Hamlish planned an album with a disco version of "The Way We Were."

It was A&M who partnered Hamlish with Carole Bayer Sager. A&M was developing a television project that didn't amount to much except Hamlisch recognized how well they worked together and asked Carole to write more songs with him.
