Ruthann Friedman

Ruthann Friedman wrote Almo/Irving's first #1 song not performed by an A&M artist. The song was "Windy" by The Association.

Jerry Moss signed Friedman to a recording contract with A&M in 1967. Tommy LiPuma produced her recording sessions for an album that was never released. Jerry Moss released her from the label. She was the first artist that A&M dropped.
