Garden Club
Songwriter Tandyn Almer knew A&M artist Ruthann Friedman and asked her to sing on his track "Little Girl Lost and Found" with Tom Shipley another A&M artist. The project was produced by Tandyn and A&M staff producer Larry Marks. At the time there was Garden Club. The song was successful in Los Angeles and that region. A&M asked Ruthann to put together a band to be called the Garden Club to promote the record. This would all happen in the Spring 1967, a few months before Ruthann's most famous song "Windy" became a hit by The Association and Jerry Moss signed Ruthann as a solo artist.
