Gram Parsons
In 1970, Terry Melcher pitched the idea of a solo album by Gram Parsons to Jerry Moss. Parsons recorded ten tracks for it including Brass Buttons, Do Right Woman, Dream Baby, Hand to Mouth, I Fall to Pieces, It's All Wrong, Sleepless Nights, She Thinks I Still Care, White Line Fever and Your Love.
Musicians on the album were Byron Berline, Clarence White, Claudia Lennear, Earl Ball, Merry Clayton, Ry Cooder and Spooner Oldham.
Due to Parsons' drug and alcohol abuse, A&M halted the project. Parsons signed out the master tapes from A&M in October 1970. The tapes have never been found.
Later in 1970, Parsons recorded four more tracks, again for A&M Records and unreleased. They were Ain't No Beatle, Ain't No Rolling Stone, Kansas City, White Line Fever and Wild Horses. These sessions were produced by Jesse Ed Davis.
