Sandy Denny

Sandy Denny is the only A&M Records artist to have recorded with three other bands signed to A&M and have a solo career on the label. She first recorded with the Strawbs for one album. In May 1968 she joined Fairport Convention which she left in late 1969 to form Fotheringay. After the Fotheringay self-titled album the group disbanded, and Sandy recorded as a solo artist. In the winter of 1973/74 she toured with Fairport Convention and rejoined the band in the spring of 1974.
