Ethel Merman

Recorded the Ethel Merman Disco Album on April 2 and 3, 1979.

"I'm high on this project. This all came right out of the blue from A&M's Kip Cohen who thought it would be a great idea....I'm just as enthused about this disco album as I was about my first job. I don't care if people think I'm jumping on the disco band wagon."

"I just love to listen and watch people dance to disco although [I only] danced to it [when] A&M brought four top disco dancers into the studio to teach me and I had a ball."

The background singer on "Something for the Boys" were five DJs from Los Angeles and San Francisco.
