Falco

Falco's recordings were only on A&M Records in the U.S., Canada and U.K. under a licensing agreement with the Austrian label Gig. A&M Records Canada broke Falco first when "Rock Me Amadeus" went to No. 1 on the RPM chart on February 1, 1986. The success in Canada gave the record the boost it needed to reach No. 1 in the U.S. and the U.K.

By April 1986, "Rock Me Amadeus" sold about 800,000 copies and the album sold about 650,000 copies in the United States.

Falco won the first Austrian Record Prize. The prize was open only to Austrian artists, composers or producers who released recordings during 1985.

The album Falco 3 was awarded platinum status in Canada.
